
Melinda studied at the University of Newcastle, completing an Honours Degree in Performance/Literature/Creative Arts & a Diploma In Education. It was here that she first started experimenting with film and performance, resulting in the creation of a solo feminist performance piece incorporating media & live performance for her Honors degree. Alongside her work in film, Melinda has recently completed an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts with a focus on Ceramics.
Melinda's sculptural work delves into the deep connection between humanity and nature, merging mythological symbolism with ancient spiritual traditions. Through her anthropomorphic creations, she explores the emotional bond between humans and the Earth, portraying themes of transformation, metamorphosis, and rebirth. Human and natural forms seamlessly intertwine, capturing the fluidity of life and emphasizing the spiritual interconnectedness of all living beings.
